Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to W E Goodacre junior, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, acknowledging his letter dated 6 July 1842, reporting the cases of able bodied persons to whom the Mansfield Union Board of Guardians have paid relief out of the workhouse in return for stone breaking. They sanction the relief. Paper Number: 9091/B/1842. Poor Law Union Number 337. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
