- Folio 39. Letter from C Mole [Chamberlain Mole] Vestry Clerk to the parish of Braughing, to the Poor Law Commission returning the paper dated 11 October 1834, marked with red ink where requesting more specific information than he has given about the maintenance of the parish paupers. He regrets it is not possible to give more information for reasons already given. The contractor, James Bush refuses to lay open his accounts to the officers, and a direct request from the Commission to him might be better. Mole will explain to Bush the necessity of such detailed accounting required for the information of officers. Poor Law Union Number 167. Counties: Hertfordshire and Essex.
