Folios 1-6: copy of daily sick list, (names and details follow) - continued:

Folio 6: John Marshall, aged 21, gunner's mate; sick or hurt, dysenteria; put on sick list, 5 September 1856; discharged 10 September 1856 to hospital. Folio 6: James Frogley, aged 24, captain of the maintop; sick or hurt, phlegmon; put on sick list, 6 September 1856; discharged 10 September 1856 to duty. Folio 6: case no 2, Thomas Jackson, aged 44, Able Seaman; sick or hurt, schirrus, had a tumor on the right breast (apparently of a malignant character) for more than two years, occasionally the surface ulcerated and sore; put on sick list 15 July 1855, invalided 15 July 1855 and sent home in H. M. Stm. V. Vixen.

Folios 6-7: case no 16, Richard Shiller, aged 27, Captain Fore Top; sick or hurt, synovitis, joint of knee and ancles swollen and painful, crepitus felt on moving the patella; put on sick list 15 July 1855, discharged 30 September 1855 to duty.

Folio 7: case no 20, James Ratcliffe, aged 20, Able Seaman; sick or hurt, vulnus, fell down on the lower deck with a needle in his hand, which penetrated about the centre of his palm and broke off; put on sick list 14 August 1855, invalided 21 November 1855 discharged to RMS packet Avon on 21 December 1855. Folio 7: case no 21, Samuel Cawse, aged 46, Private Marine; sick or hurt, rheumatism, suffered more or less for some months and now much worse and much debilitated; put on sick list 14 August 1855, invalided 21 November 1855 discharged to RMS packet Avon on 21 December 1855. Folio 7: case no 38, George Cole, aged 27, Private Marine; sick or hurt, ulcus, on the leg on the face of the tibia (an old sore broken out again), and his health much impaired; put on sick list 1 October 1855, invalided 21 November 1855 discharged to RMS packet Avon on 21 December 1855. Folio 7: case no 59, Samuel Blagden, aged 26, Captain Fore Top; sick or hurt, syphilis, had a chancre on the glans, which has existed for four days; put on sick list 5 December 1855, sent 13 February 1856 to the Madagascar.

Folio 8: case no 60, Samuel Croole, aged 30, Able Seaman; sick or hurt, cholera biliosa, attacked with violent cramps in the bowels, vomiting & purging; put on sick list 5 December 1855, discharged 12 December 1855 to duty. Folio 8: case no 61, George Harding, aged 22, Able Seaman; sick or hurt, cholera biliosa; put on sick list 5 December 1855, discharged 15 December 1855 to duty. Folios 8-9: case no 82, John West, aged 36, Able Seaman; sick or hurt, vulnus, while doing the dyty of Captain of the Hold, a cask slipped and came on his left foot and cut off the last phalanx of the middle toe and the bone of the nest, two adjacent toes were also contused; put on sick list 8 January 1856, discharged 30 January 1856 to duty.
