Letter from G Farrand, Chairman of the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union to the Poor Law Commission asking to know the details of the charges against [William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union] which have caused the Commission to request his resignation, and asking how they are to act. Annotated: send a copy of letter of 14 June 1842 calling for Ashton's resignation and state that the resignation has been given and accepted. Paper Number: 8490/B/1842 Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
