Letter from William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, stating the appointment of medical officers by the Basford guardians for the year ending 25 June 1839 subject to approval. It lists the names of the men appointed and their annual salary. District 1. Mr Smith. District 2. Mr Robb. District 3. Mr Butler. District 4. Mr Butler. District 5. Mr Allen. District 6.
