Folio 18: case no 49, no on ship's book 3-11, Richard W White, aged 27, Lieutenant; taken ill at Shanghai; sick or hurt, epedidymitis of right side; put on sick list 11 August 1876, returned 2 September 1876 to duty. Folio 18: case no 50, no on ship's book [5?]-105, Henry Bushell, aged 31, Sailmaker; taken ill at Shanghai; sick or hurt, swelling in the right Iliac fossa and was threatening to suppurate; put on sick list 12 August 1876, returned 11 September 1876 to duty. Folio 18: case no 51, no on ship's book 5-61, John Ford, aged 25, Ordinary Seaman; taken ill at Shanghai; sick or hurt, primary syphilis sore 2/3 of an inch across situated on the frenum threatening to enter into urethra; put on sick list 15 August 1876, returned 11 September 1876 cured. Folio 24: case no 59, no on ship's book 10-79, Noah Blackman, aged 17, Boy 1st Class; taken ill at Shanghai; sick or hurt, dysentery; put on sick list 11 September 1876, sent 11 September 1876 to Civil Hospital at Shanghai, returned 3 [January 1877?] to duty, the Surgeons stated that he discovered that this patient exaggerated his complaint. Folio 24: case no 60, no on ship's book 3-19, Alfred W O Petel, aged 18, Midshipman; taken ill at Shanghai; sick or hurt, eprdidymitis; put on sick list 26 August 1876, sent 20 September 1876 to Civil Hospital at Shanghai, returned 3 October 1876 to duty. Folio 24: case no 61, no on ship's book 3-?, Richard W White, aged 27, Lieutenant; taken ill at Yokohama; sick or hurt, general debility [see case no 49]; put on sick list 13 September 1876, sent 26 September 1876 to Royal Naval Hospital at Yokohama.
