Folio 225. Letter from Thomas Watkins, Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, to Poor Law Commission. Replying to their letter of the 19 October 1844 he forwards the new valuation of St John as £12,793. 10s and St Mary £15,316. 12s 6d. Total £28,110. 2s. 6d. Annotated: acknowledge and state that what the Commissioners wish to see is the new valuation of the town of Cardiff made in pursuance of an agreement between the overseers and valuers which is referred to in their letter of the 14 October 1844.
