Letter from Thomas Watkins, Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, to Poor Law Commission, replying to their letter of the 9 September 1844 stating that proceedings are now in progress for the recovery of the sum due from the sureties of Richard Davies. Annotated: it would be desirable to request them to be more explicit. Signed: Wade [Colonel J F Wade, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner]. Requests more precise information as to the state of the proceedings in question. W G L [William Golden Lumley, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Commission]. 21 October 1844.
