Folio 26: John John, aged 22, Able Seaman, gun boat Plover; disease or hurt, wound of head by gingal ball and loss of eye. Put on sick list, 25 June 1859, the River Pei-ho. Sent to HMS Assistance, 4 July 1859, and invalided. The scalp on the left side of the vertex was torn, forming a deep triangular wound, the left eyelid bruised and the globe of the eye ruptured, causing total loss of vision. The following day it was found that he could not move his right arm and that his speech was affected, his right facial muscles were also partially paralysed.
Folio 26: William Groombridge, aged 24, Able Seaman, HMS Cormorant; disease or hurt, gunshot wound of leg and fracture of tibia. Put on sick list, 25 June 1859, the River Pei-ho. Sent to HMS Assistance, 4 July 1859, and invalided.
Folio 27: William Glover, aged 20, Ordinary Seaman, HMS Cormorant; disease or hurt, wound of shoulder from splinter. Put on sick list, 25 June 1859, the River Pei-ho. Sent to HMS Assistance, 4 July 1859, and invalided.
Folio 27: William Painter, aged 23, Able Seaman, gun boat Forester; disease or hurt, wound of back by musket ball. Put on sick list, 25 June 1859, the River Pei-ho. Discharged to duty, 14 August 1859. Wounded on shore by a musket ball entering the right side of the back, over the angle of the 10th rib and extracted by incision on the left side of the spine.
Folio 27: John Bryan, aged 27, Stoker, gun boat Haughty; disease or hurt, burn of face etc from explosion. Put on sick list, 25 June 1859, the River Pei-ho. Returned to duty, 8 July 1859. Injured in the same explosion as Matthias Nevan and similar treatment.

Folio 28: William Swanson, aged 30, Stoker, gun boat Plover; disease or hurt, contusion of shoulder by shot. Put on sick list, 25 June 1859, the River Pei-ho. Discharged, 9 July 1859.
Folio 28: William Tookey, aged 25, Stoker, gun boat Plover; disease or hurt, wounds of nates and thigh from splinters. Put on sick list, 25 June 1859, the River Pei-ho. Discharged into HMS Highflyer, 17 August 1859. Small splinter wounds on left nates and upper thigh. The wounds initially did well but then took on a sloughing action.

Discharged to duty, 21 August 1859. Wounded by very minute splinters which got embedded in the cornea and which were extracted, he recovered and did not lose his vision.
