Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to R M Hodge [Richard Michell Hodge], Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, requesting that steps be taken to reduce the number of paupers in St Clement Workhouse within the prescribed limit. Annotated by Edward Gulson, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner: the question as to the enlargement of the workhouse accommodation stands over for the result of my enquiry relative to a division of the union.
