Folios 575-576. Letter from Mr Ferrand Harden Grange, Bingley, to the Poor Law Board expressing appreciation that an inspector would be visiting the Keighley Union on 14 February and saying that should be unable to be present the inspector would he be able to confirm the allegations by questioning the relieving officers and examining the tickets. Some of the guardians would be helpful. Annotated: H B Farnall [Poor Law Inspector], expressing the view that if Ferrand, or someone appointed by him, is not present at the meeting to present his evidence, then it would not be right to proceed. He asks for the Board's view. 7 February 1855 He further notes that he has instructed the clerk to the Keighley Union to organise a meeting on 14 February. There is also a note stating that Ferrand intends to be present at the meeting. 10 February 1855 Paper Number: 4486/1855. See also Paper Number: 4043/1855. Poor Law Union Number 571.
