- Folio 569. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to R H Hodgson, Clerk to the justices, Division of Keighley, regarding payment of fees to constables for extra services. The Board has in the past (1847) taken advice from counsel and was advised that orders for payment were invalid: 1. When the overseers had not been summoned so that they had an opportunity to object 2. When the justices have ordered a total sum to be paid without details of the specific services included. Paper Number: 3833/1855. Poor Law Union Number 571. Counties: Yorkshire West Riding.
