Folio 2: case no 1, James P Morley, aged 25, Captain Coxswain, number on ship book 59; taken ill at Bahia; sick or hurt, double oblique inguinal hernia; put on sick list, 14 June 1878, invalided 26 July 1878, discharged 27 July 1878 to RM Tagus for passage to England.
Folios 2-3: case no 2, Thomas Roberts, aged 17, Boy, number on ship book 7; taken ill at Bahia; sick or hurt, morbus cordis, debility and palpitation; put on sick list, 18 June 1878, invalided 26 July 1878, discharged 27 July 1878 to RM Tagus for passage to England.
Folio 3: case no 3, Alfred Hill, aged 21, Able Seaman, number on ship book 9; frequently on the list from the time of leaving England in April; sick or hurt, phthisis incipiens, complained of palpitation and dyspneoa with great debility...the physical signes of his disease were not well marked, as the climate combined with confinement on board the ship effected his health, he was brought forwards for survey, invalided 26 July 1878, discharged 27 July 1878 to RM Tagus for passage to England.
