Folios 216-218. Letter from Harry White, Clerk to the Guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commissioners, enclosing a letter from J G Lenny [John G Lenny]of the firm of surveyors, Lenny, Croft and Jones, regarding the Southwold survey. Letter from Lenny, Thetford [Norfolk] 19 September 1839. Mr Fisher of Eye [John Fisher, Surveyor], his assistant in the survey of Southwold, would attempt to put the remaining chain lines in the Southwold map if it is returned to him immediately. Lenny would prefer that the Poor Law Commissioners should send a surveyor down. If the survey was proved wrong, Lenny would then pay the expenses. Annotated: 28 September 1839, send copy to Captain Dawson [Robert Dawson, Assistant Tithe Commissioner] to request his opinion. Annotated: 26 September 1839, sent down to the wrong person by mistake. Paper Number: 6984/B/1839. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk.
