- Folio 206. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Harry White, Clerk to the Guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union, concerning the sale of Bramfield property. As it is copyhold property, it does not come within the provisions of 59 G III c 12 [see A G vs Lewin 8 Sim Rep 366 regarding Paddington Charities] [London/Middlesex]. However under the provisions of 5& 6 W 4 c 69 it may be sold, but not conveyed by way of a rent charge. A surrender by one or more trustees will be required. The property should be sold absolutely or alternatively leased. It is presumed that the rents have been received from Mr Rabett [Reverend Reginald Rabett] Paper Number: 6248/B/1839.
