Letter from Harry White, Clerk to the Guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding the survey of Southwold, and enclosing an explanatory letter from the surveyor; Copy of letter, dated 9 August 1839, from J G Lenny [John Lenny, surveyor], Wrentham, to Harry White, Clerk to the Guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union, explaining that the map of Southwold has been made as accurate as is possible, given its ill-used and defaced condition. It was not possible to show all the chain-lines in the crowded part of Southwold. Annotated: usual course, 19 August. These papers are to be transmitted to the Tithe Commission Office. Paper Number: 3752/B/1839. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk.
