3 December 1866, sent to hospital; Michael Cadogan, aged 22, Ordinary Seaman, buboes; Frederick Orris, aged 18, Boy 1st Class, sprained ankle; Samuel Hancock, aged 23, Ordinary Seaman, buboes; Alexander Malone, aged 24, Painter, chronic rheumatism; Frederick Murton, aged 19, Gun Room Servant, inflamed hand. 5 December 1866, Brooks, a shipwright, had got a steel filing in his eye five days previously, it was extracted with a magnet and a fine forceps. 8 December 1866, sent to hospital; R Hodge, bubo; G Bridges, bronchitis; J Kirby, bronchitis; J Galvin, catarrh; T Connor, buboes; D Macaulay, bronchitis; A Shepherd, colic; J Minton, syphilis; R Anderson, bronchial catarrh; Hughes, Ford and Shoebrook. 26 December 1866, three officers placed under arrest for trying to break out of the ship at 2am, they were brought back by the police.
