Folios 31-32: case no. 92, Samuel Yandell, aged 24, Able Seaman; sick or hurt, hematemesis, complained of pain in the region of the liver...Dr McBride Assistant Surgeon was sent to consult Mr. Scott the Surgeon of Haulbowline Hospital, who on his visit recommended that the patient be sent to the Hospital; put on sick list 20 January 1856, sent 25 January 1856 to Haulbowline Hospital, where he died. According to the Surgeon of the ship an inquest was held on 28 January 1856 at Haulbowline Hospital by Dr Cronin.
