Folio 312. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Sir John Walsham [Assistant Poor Law Commissioner, concerning the misconduct of Daniel Morrison, Master of the Berwick-upon-Tweed Workhouse, and refers to their reply to the Board of Guardians' letter of 5 February 1840. They ask Walsham to enquire into the general state of Berwick-upon-Tweed Workhouse and to report on the probable permanency of any improvement in Mr And Mrs Morrison's conduct and management.
