- Folios 144-145. Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, enclosing a letter [not included] addressed to Mr Weale [Robert Weale, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner]. The letter results from a parish meeting [organised by the churchwardens and overseers of the poor, for the ratepayers and owners of property in Kidderminster to take a vote], ordered by the Commission, relating to the sale of the Kidderminster Borough workhouse. As there has been no meeting of the guardians since the parish meeting, Saunders is unsure of whether he should address the Commission directly, but feels it his duty to inform Weale immediately of the results. Paper Number: 1175/C/1837. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
