Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, notifying them that the guardians have authorised the following: 1. An increase in the salary of John Gethin, Master of the Kidderminster Foreign workhouse, [of] £20 per annum, from the date of his appointment. 2. Samuel Farmer's appointment as porter at Bewdley workhouse at a salary of £20 per annum, with 'provisions afforded by the house', subject to one month's notice or dismissal without notice for misbehaviour. Annotation: approval by Robert Weale, [Assistant Poor Law Commissioner]. Paper Number: 938/C/1837. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
