Folio 22: case no 186, Joseph Joice, aged 19, Boy; taken ill at Barbados; sick or hurt, syphilis, two large foul sloughy ulcers on the right side of glands & [?] prepuce & on the fraenum; put on sick list 12 December 1840, discharged 28 December 1840 to duty. Folio 22: case no 187, Samuel Preston, aged 23, Ordinary Seaman; sick or hurt, gonorrhoea – with much inflamed; put on sick list 13 December 1840, discharged 17 December 1840 to duty. Folio 22: case no 188, Robert Waddilove, aged 21, Mate; sick or hurt, colica; put on sick list 13 December 1840, discharged 17 December 1840 to duty.
