- Folios 155-158. Letter from R M Hodge [Richard Michell Hodge], Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. He encloses for approval the appointment form for Eldred Roberts Pascoe as Collecting Officer for St Mary's Parish, Truro. The form shows Pascoe, aged 29, of Pydar Street, St Mary's Parish, Truro, is a painter and had occasionally assisted his father in collecting the poor rates in St Mary's. Poundage as allowed by Commission. The post became vacant on the death of the previous collector, Thomas Pascoe, his father. Annotated: recommendation for approval by Colonel Wade [Colonel Thomas F Wade, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner]. Paper Number: 5803/A/1841. Poor Law Union Number 57. Counties: Cornwall.
