- Folio 425. Notes made for the preparation of a draft letter. The workhouse master may send a written explanation of why John Walsham [Assistant Poor Law Commissioner] was not shown the room which was the subject of questions 1603-1607 on page 77 [Parliamentary Report]. Ask for the list of the idiots and insane persons now in the Keighley and Bingley Workhouses and a certificate from the medical officers confirming whether or not they are dangerous. Paper Number: 8649/B/1842. Poor Law Union Number 571. Counties: Yorkshire West Riding.
