Folio 424. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Sir James Graham [Home Secretary], enclosing two copies [not included] of an order which the Commission proposes issuing to Keighley Poor Law Union ordering the suspension of a general rule concerning the provision of an Outdoor Labour Test for able-bodied paupers who are not lodged in the workhouse. The order requires the signature of Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State before it can be issued. The Poor Law Commissioners request that Sir James Graham approves the order by signing the two copies. Paper Number: 8649/B/1842. Poor Law Union Number 571. Counties: Yorkshire West Riding.
