Folio 417. Printed document 8649/B/1842, addressed to the Guardians of the Keighley Poor Law Union and other officers, referring to the general order of 30 April 1842 concerning the administration of relief to able-bodied paupers not housed in the workhouse including, among others, Keighley Union. This suspends operation of the order in the Keighley Poor Law Union until 1 April 1843 or until the Poor Law Commissioners direct otherwise. Annotated: 10 August 1842 approved William Golden Lumley [Assistant Secretary, Poor Law Commission]. The consent of the Secretary of State must be obtained before the order is issued. The order to be signed by Sir Edmund Walker Head [Poor Law Commissioner] early tomorrow if possible. Paper Number: 8649/B/1842. Poor Law Union Number 571. Counties: Yorkshire West Riding.
