Letter from James Shearer to the Poor Law Commission, relating to the reimbursement of his claim for the expense incurred by him in burying a female who died at his home, The London Trader Inn, Rye, which the Commission had said was receiving attention but on which he had not heard further and the Commission's advice is requested. Annotated draft letter from [Henry Walter Parker, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Commission] to James Shearer, relating to the reimbursement of his claim for the expense incurred by him in burying a female who died at his home, stating that the Commission had nothing further to add to their previous correspondence on the matter with him.
