Letter from Henry Edwards Paine, Clerk to Guardians of the Rye Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, requesting advice on whether the Exchequer Loan Commission will accept a payment of more than a twentieth of the £800 loan when the first instalment becomes due on 1 January 1839 and, if so, what sum will the Exchequer Loan Commission require to be paid annually on account of the loan.
