- Folio 321. Draft letter from [Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission] to H E Payne [Henry Edwards Paine], Clerk to Guardians of the Rye Poor Law Union, regarding the draft conveyance of property to be sold in the parish of East Guildeford [East Guldeford], returned to the guardians altered. The duly executed deed and the receipt indorsed thereon, signed by the treasurer, to be forwarded with the draft conveyance to the Commission for sealing and registration. The provisions of the Stamp Duty Act to be complied with and the expenses incidental to the sale are directed to be paid out of the proceeds. Paper Number: 9810/C/1838. Poor Law Union Number 484. Counties: Sussex.
