Folio 1: Sea victualling between 21 June 1820 and 17 January 1821.
Folios 1-2: Records joining the Prince Regent 21 June 1820 at Deptford and sailing to Cork to pick up convicts. 13 July 1820 a detachment of the 1st Royal Scots arrive as guards. 20 August 1820 received 28 convicts from Dublin by the transport brig Atlas. 21 August 1820 another 104 convicts received from Cork depot and formed the convicts into 3 divisions.
Folio 2: 22 - 24 August 1820; Convicts on deck, prison cleaned. Butter surveyed following complaints from the guard.
Folio 3: 25 - 31 August 1820; Daily routine. Five more convicts from depot. All healthy. In Cork Harbour.
Folio 4: 1- 7 September 1820; Daily routine, some bad weather. Windsails raised. Fresh beef and vegetables received. Still in Cork Harbour.
Folio 5: 8 - 13 September 1820; Daily routine, some bad weather. Still in Cork Harbour.
Folio 6: 14 -19 September 1820; Superintendent for embarkation mustered the prisoners and delivered the necessary warrant, 14 September. Daily routine. Weighed anchor 5am 19 September 1820.
Folio 7: 20 -23 September 1820; Daily routine when weather allows. Records casks opened. Begins salt rations, 22 September 1820.
Folio 8: 24 - 29 September 1820; Daily routine.
Folio 9: 30 September - 5 October 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded.
Folio 10: 6 - 11 October 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded.
Folio 11: 12 - 19 October 1820; Daily routine, some squally weather with rain.
Folio 12: 20 - 27 October 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded.
Folio 13: 28 October - 3 November 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded. Trinidad and Martin Vas sighted.
Folio 14: 4 - 10 November 1820; Daily routine. Four prisoners handcuffed for fighting, 4 November.
Folio 15: 11 - 15 November 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded. Complaint from some prisoners that bread and flour issued was deficient in weight, 15 November. No ground for complaint.
Folio 16: 16 - 21 November 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded. Prisoners refuse to receive some oatmeal which had not been issued when due, 18 November. Some bad weather.
Folio 17: 22 - 27 November 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded. Some slight colds requiring no particular treatment. At 6am on Wednesday 22 November, the wife of John Stinson one of the guard was delivered of a male child. Two prisoners confined in handcuffs for fighting.
Folio 18: 28 November - 2 December 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded. 1 December, all the convict's butter expended so sugar issued in lieu. Prisoners Egan, Sullivan, Robinson, Bryan and Shanahan refuse to receive it. Egan is extremely insolent and suspected of endeavouring to make the rest of the prisoners discontented and troublesome.
Folio 19: 3 - 9 December 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded. Prisoners who refused sugar on 1 December requested it on 5 December.
Folio 20: 10 - 16 December 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded.
Folio 21: 17 - 23 December 1820; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded. Some slight colds.
Folio 22: 24 December 1820 - 1 January 1821; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded.
Folio 23: 2 - 8 January 1821; Daily routine. Latitude and longitude recorded.
Folio 24: 9 - 15 January 1821; Anchored in Sydney Harbour at 9pm, Saturday 9 January. Removed prisoners irons and reported arrival of ship, 10 January 1821. Prisoners allowed on deck and prison cleaned. Inspected by the Colonial Secretary, 15 January 1821.
Folio 25: 16 January 1821; Clothes issued by an officer from Deputy Commissary General's Department. Difficulty in getting fresh beef. 17 January; prisoners disembarked and inspected by the Governor. Comments on the very good health of the prisoners apart from slight colds and some other incidental complaints, they were disembarked in if possible better health than when they came on board.Signed, Alexander Taylor, Surgeon Superintendent. Folio 26 - 48: Blank.
Folio 49: Abstract of the preceding journal being a summary of all the cases contained therein; completed with dashes indicating no cases against every disease listed. Surgeon's general remarks; reiterates good health of prisoners and guard, no diseases and all landed in good health. Signed, Alexander Taylor, Surgeon R N. Sydney, New South Wales, 30 January 1821.
