Description

Folio 2: Agnes Hutton, convict; sick or hurt, constipation; put on sick list, 15 December 1838, put off sick list 20 December 1838. Folio 2: Ellen Hart, convict; sick or hurt, cephalalgia; put on sick list, 17 December 1838, put off sick list 21 December 1838. Folio 2: Hannah Spooner, convict; sick or hurt, catarrh; put on sick list, 29 December 1838, put off sick list 12 January 1839. [Surgeon's note] 52 in number all the cases contained in the journal with the exception of Mary Ann Walker's infant. Signed P. Lisher.

Folios 8-9: case no. 12, Mary Ann Walker, aged 33, convict; taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, cephalalgia; put on sick list, 17 October 1838, on 27 October at 4 pm. she was seized with labour pains and was delivered at 6.30 of a small female child, 3 November the child still not sucked and was very restless at night, on the 4 November at 8 am the child apparently expired without struggle at 10am, the mother was taken off the list on 9 November 1838.
