Folio 480. Pro forma letter from the Poor Law Board to Charles Hart, Clerk to the Liverpool Select Vestry, acknowledging receipt of Public Vaccination Returns for Liverpool, during the year ended 20 September 1852. The select vestry are reminded that mortality from small pox has increased in various parts of the country. The Board trusts that they will continue to try to overcome the prejudice against vaccination, which exists among the poorer classes, by emphasising the danger of leaving children unprotected. Paper Number: 49036/1852.
