- Folio 474. Pro forma letter from Charles Hart, Clerk to the Liverpool Select Vestry, to Poor Law Board, reporting the following appointment made by the Select Vestry on 30 November 1852. Thomas Barfoot Gildersleeves as temporary Medical Officer and Vaccinator of the district vacated by Dr Hyams. He is to hold such office until the arrangement of the districts at present under consideration be completed and the remuneration to be the same as that received by Dr Hyams. Annotated: there is no objection to the appointment. H B Farnall, [Poor Law Inspector]. Approve of the temporary arrangements. Paper Number: 46141/1852.
