Folios 458-465. Letter from Charles Hart, Clerk to the Liverpool Select Vestry, to Poor Law Board, acknowledging a letter of 8 November 1852, transmitting forms of queries, duly completed and enclosed, in respect of the following appointees. Thomas William Scarrett, 26, single, of Windsor, Liverpool, as Assistant Schoolmaster, salary £10 per annum, plus rations as listed. Appointed due to voluntary resignation of predecessor. James Bardsley, 21, single, Top Cliffe near Thirsk, Yorkshire North Riding, as Assistant Schoolmaster, salary £10 per annum plus rations as listed. Appointed due to voluntary resignation of Mr Woods. Elizabeth Brown, 16, single, 115, Field Street, Liverpool as Assistant Schoolmistress, salary £10 per annum, until examined by an inspector of schools, plus rations as listed. Appointed due to voluntary resignation of Miss Wilson. Margaret Shannon, 37, widow, 53, Seel Street, Liverpool, as Nurse, salary £12 10s, plus rations as listed. New officer.
