- Folio 404. Draft letter from Poor Law Board to A B Steele, 49, Russell Street, Liverpool. It refers him to their letter of 11 October 1852 relating to the proposal to terminate his appointment as medical officer. The Board wish to inform him that in view of the 'Minutes of your appointment' and under the 'terms on which you were elected' they consider the Liverpool Select Vestry are entitled to take this course independently, without the consent of the Board being previously obtained. Paper Number: 38001/1852.
