- Folio 395. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, to Charles Hart, Clerk to the Liverpool Select Vestry, acknowledging his letter of 7 October 1852, which reported the appointments of officers elected by vestry. With regard to Henry William Spring Woods the Board refers Hart to his letter of 4 May 1852 reporting this appointment, and to their reply of 22 May 1852 sanctioning Woods for a trial of six months. They also wish to know whether the appointments are additional staff, or replacements to fill vacancies caused by death, resignation or dismissal. If the latter, the Board wish to know the names of the previous officers, when they left, and for what cause. Paper Number: 37414/1852.
