- Folios 196-197. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, regarding the enquiry by Harry Burrard Farnall, Poor Law Inspector, into the alleged neglect of Henry Emett, Medical Officer. They have received the report by Farnall, with copies of the depositions of witnesses. They conclude that it is it is Emett's duty to attend all cases where an order for medical attention has been issued, as appears to have happened in this case. The fact that Thomas Hargreaves [Thomas Hargraves] manner and language were violent was no excuse and the Poor Law Board regard his conduct with dissatisfaction. A copy of the letter is to be sent to the guardians of the Liverpool Select Vestry and they are to be instructed to insert cases of medical relief in their application and report books.
