Folio 48: 22 August 1819, Thomas Cosgroves cough rather easier and slept better. Jonathan Campbell has had frequent cough and pains in his chest, Rice, mouth nearly well, McMahon and Sweeny continue pretty strong and pretty regular in their bowels. John Killen complains with flatus and irregularity in his bowels. Gogarty much improved. William Rutledge still complains of frequent cough and pains in his chest. James Quinlin complains with headache and sore throat.
Folio 48: 23 August 1819, Daniel Byrne has inguinal swellings on both sides. Gogarty improves fast, pains abating and b[owels] regular. Jonathan Campbell, Jonathan Sweeny and Patrick McMahon, old men, are improving wonderfully.
Folio 49: 23 August 1819, Quinlins throat much better, b[owels] free. James Rutledge and Thomas Cosgrove, cough and pain in their chests rather abated. Joseph Purcell, b[owels] bound, has numerous boils. Jonathan Maginnis mouth healing and general health better. William Underwood, b[owels] still inclined to be indolent. Edward Kelly complains with constipated bowels. Andrew Hinds slept better pains abating greatly.
Folio 49: 24 August 1819, Dennis Barry complains with headache, pains in his limbs and sore throat. Gogarty improves, Sweeny, Campbell and McMahon continue pretty free from complaint and bowels regular. William Underwood, b[owels] free, complains of debility. [James] Rice, b[owels] regular, appetite pretty good, mouth nearly well. John Maginnis improves gradually, mouth better and general strength better, the enlargement and swelling of the scrotum and testis almost entirely subsided. William Rutledge, frequent cough and slight pain in his chest. Patrick Murphy complains of a severe pain in his left breast with slight dyspnea and cough.
Folio 50: 25 August 1819, Sweeny and McMahon continue to improve, James Rice also. Mark Rafferty and William Rutledge have frequent cough and pain in their chests. Michael Torpey, throat healing kindly. William Underwood still rather debilitated, appetite rather better. Bryan Grehan complains with griping and purging. Patrick Murphy rather better. Michael Moran has numerous boils about him.
Folio 50: 26 August 1819, John Maginis improves fast, mouth healing, general strength and appetite better. John Campbell, slight purging, Patrick McMahon and John Sweeny, improve. John Kinna complains with headache and frequent pyrosis. William Rutledge complains of having had a severe night with coughing and difficult expectoration. Thomas Cosgrove improves a little, cough rather looser. Michael Torpeys throat healing fast, mouth and gums begin to be slightly sore. [Andrew] Hinds improves, the pains continue much abated.
Folio 51: 27 August 1819, John Sweeny, John Campbell and Patrick McMahon improve in their general health and spirits. Jonathan Maginnis improves fast, mouth nearly well. Pat Tully complains of impaired sight, particularly at night, with general debility, gums spongy. Daniel McGinly complains with cough and pains in his chest. Thomas Cosgrove and William Rutledge, coughs and pain in their chests abated. Andrew Hinds continues to sleep better and the pains are much abated. John Irvin complains with griping and purging.
Folio 51: 28 August 1819, Jonathan Campbell has had slight purging and griping, Rice improves, Patrick McMahon continues improving, Gogarty improves in general health, appetite good. William Underwood improves a little. William Rutledge and Thomas Cosgrove, coughs and pain in their chests gradually abating.
Folio 52: 29 August 1819, Carrs throat appears to be quite healed but rather slightly inflamed. Gogarty continues better, mostly free from pain. Patrick McMahon and James Rice continue to improve. Tully feels a little improved in strength. Jonathan Maginnis improves rapidly, b[owels] regular, mouth nearly well, appetite good. Owen Dooner complains with frequent cough and slight pain in his breast. William Organ complains with constipated bowels. John Irvin, gums rather spongy.
Folio 52: 30 August 1819, Hinds complains of frequent griping and purging, Michael Morans cough better, McMahons gums appear sore and spongy. James Rodgers complains of griping with constipated bowels. Torpeys throat nearly well, mouth slightly sore. Bryan Grehan has symptoms of scurvy. Maginnis improves fast. Edward Kelly, b[owels] bound. Terence McManus complained with headache and pains in his limbs. Bernard Rowe complains with griping and severe shooting pains in his back and limbs.
Folio 53: 31 August 1819, John Maginnis continues to improve, Darby Shanaghans ulcer is clean and healthy, closing fast. Patrick McMahons mouth better, Patrick Gogarty has also soreness in his mouth. Patrick Tully improves a little. Bernard Rowe complains still with pain in the small of his back and headache but less severe, has perspired freely, to wear a flannel shirt next to his skin. Jonathan OHara b[owels] bound. Michael Moran complains of nausea, slight headache and tremor in his limbs.
Folio 53: 1 September, Michael Torpeys throat quite healed, gums still sore, McMahon and Gogarty better in every respect. Jonathan Campbell complains of debility. Hinds has slight purging still. Alexander Hamilton has had an extreme abscess on his left knee, which is now suppurated and discharging copiously of healthy pus, the inflammation continues rather high with rather an indolent, scorbutic appearance. Peter Levins, b[owels] rather bound. Carrs throat quite healed, b[owels] still rather loose. Michael Lane complains with cough and pain in his breast. Terence McManus has had frequent cough and slight pain in his chest.
Folio 54: 1 September 1819, Oliver Richards complains of constipated bowels.
Folio 54: 2 September 1819, Michael Donnelly complained previous night with slight headache and general pains and stitches in his breast and sides, b[owels] regular, t[ongue] clean, skin rather hot, the pains are not abated, skin moist. John Buckly complains of cough and pain in his chest. Jonathan Sweeny, debility. William Organ complains again with constipated bowels.
