Folio 11: 13 June 1819, James Healy [Hayley?], complains still with a pain and a sense of obstruction, with slight dyspnoea surrounding the lower part of the thorax. Patrick Murphy attacked with sudden griping about the umbilicus. Carrs throat nearly healed, mouth nearly well also. Andrew Higgins, frequent purging and griping. Bryan Fallon, headache and constipated bowels, frequent cough. William Walsh, Nicholas Hayden and John [Dockery], frequent cough and slight pain in the chest, particularly at night.
Folio 11: 14 June 1819, Edward Cullen, pain in his back and loins, difficulty and heat in making water. Joseph Purcell and John McBride, slight griping and purging. William Cain, constipated bowels.
Folio 12: 14 June 1819, Michael Owens, purging and slight griping, John English the same. Michael Donnelly, headache and pains in his limbs. [Hinds], griping and purging. Issued quarter pound of tobacco to each mess, along with scissors and combs to cut hair.
Folio 12: 15 June 1819, John Farly, headache, constipated bowels. Patrick Fitzsimmons, slight griping and purging. John English, slight griping, no purging. Andrew Higgins, slight griping and frequent small stools. Patrick Murphy, no complaint but slight debility and impaired appetite. John Dockery, headache and constipated bowels. John [Hind?], slight griping. Mrs Murphy constipated. John Sweeny, aged 61, has complete paralysis on the right side, complains with oedematous swelling and complete numbness of both limbs of that side.
Folio 12: 16 June 1819, Daniel Stewart, purging and slight griping. Terence McManus, with headache and slight pains in his limbs and much thirst. John Barry, violent frequent purging and griping, with bloody stools for three days.
Folio 13: 16 June 1819, John McKenna, complained previous evening with griping and purging, griping gone but slight headache and thirst. Windsails have been rigged to ventilate the decks. McKenna has had free vomiting and is now much better. Healy complains with pain in his back. Christopher Earl, griping and purging, no fever.
Folio 13: 17 June 1819, Daniel Stewart, frequent purging in the night, griping [retains] less, skin moist, t[ongue] white but moist, thirst and frequent nausea and vomiting. John McKenna has had frequent vomiting in the night, headache abated. James Kelly, constipated bowels. Terence McManus, no complaint but debility. Christopher Earl, frequent purging, no griping.
Folio 13: 18 June 1819, passed by the island of Brava [Cape Verde Islands].
Folio 14: 18 June 1819, Edward McFaden and Bryan [McGrouth], headache and constipation. John Barry, has had frequent stools for some days, latterly with blood. Patrick McMahon, constipated bowels.
Folio 14: 19 June 1819, John Barry, a restless night with frequent bloody stools and griping. Terence McManus, frequent griping and purging in the night. Michael Doud, headache, t[ongue] foul, breath fetid, skin cool. William Sweeny, headache and constipated bowels. Francis Hand, purging and griping. John [Campbell], the pills did not operate, [he] has had vomiting this morning. [John] Barry has had tenesmus with a little blood, no stool. 6pm, Barry has had several free stools, without blood, and feels much better, griping still returns at intervals. William Hutchins, Soldier, headache and general pains in his limbs.
Folio 14: 20 June 1819, Andrew Gibney, aged 60, general debility, impaired appetite. Sweeny has had less swelling in his right leg, continue treatment with [...] friction and the flannel stocking, but complains of general debility. McManus and McKenna improved. Jonathan Campbell and Michael Doud, free from complaints.
Folio 15: 20 June 1819, Christopher Earl, griping and headache. John McLughlin, constipation and oppressed about the pericordia. Purcells cathartic has not operated. James Watts, Soldier, violent headache particularly across his forehead, face flushed, eyes suffused with dimness of sight, pulse rather quick and full, skin hot.
Folio 15: 21 June 1819, James [John] Bunting, has continued treatment and his eruption has now disappeared. Carrs throat nearly healed. Christopher Earl, frequent griping and purging. [James] Watts sleeps little from frequent vomiting, headache nearly gone. Michael Lane, constipation and slight headache. John Fletcher, Soldier, slight headache and sore [throat].
Folio 15: 22 June 1819, Fletchers cathartic did not operate, throat swelled and painful with difficult deglutition. Patrick Connolly, constipated bowels.
Folio 16: 22 June 1819, Daniel Farrel and Patrick Fallon, constipated bowels, slight headache. Hugh Kenny, some headache and general pains in his limbs. Fletcher, Guard, increased pain in his throat and difficult deglutition.
Folio 16: 23 June 1819, Peter Levins and James Bryan, slight headache, constipated bowels. Patrick Fallon still constipated. Andrew Hinds has had an obstinate gonorrhoea for some months with some ardor urino and small sore behind the glans penis for which he has been using mercurial friction morning and evening these three days, complains with headache and vomiting. John McKenna and John McLa[u]ghlin, constipated bowels. William Sweeny, frequent vomiting and constipated bowels. John Campbell, nausea, languor and debility. Christopher Earl and Patrick McMahon, anorexia and general debility. Bryan Fallon, headache and general pains in his limbs.
Folio 16: 24 June 1819, John Campbell, bowels constipated. Martin Burke and Patrick Cunningham, griping, headache and constipated bowels. Andrew Gibney, general languor and debility. John [Tomaly], Boy, griping and constipated bowels. Andrew Hinds, mouth gently sore and ulceration on the glans penis disappearing, [slight] nausea and general pains.
