Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to Henry Knowles, Collector of Poor Rates, Bewdley [Kidderminster Poor Law Union], forwarding an extract from a letter received from Mr Simkiss [Thomas S Simkiss] District Auditor, relating to alleged irregularities in the collection of Poor Rates for Bewdley. The Board asks Knowles for an explanation. Annotation: no reply, 23 June 1848. Write for answer, 24 June 1848. Paper Number: 14824/1848. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
