- Folios 329-330. Appointment for George Parsons age 48 from Stourport as Collector for Lower Melton, Kidderminster Poor Law Union. He was previously a Cordwainer and previously held the post of overseer for the parish. He will be paid 4d in the pound on rates collected about £3 and 6d for those at £3 or less. Names of sureties are Anthony Trehearn of Kidderminster, Currier; and Obadiah Newham of Stourport, Pastry Cook. The appointment arose from the voluntary resignation of Thomas Strafford Giles. Paper Number: 14588/1848. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
