- Folio 284. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, acknowledging a letter dated 13 April 1848 that enclosed the Bye-Laws of the Board of Guardians. In reply to the Guardians' queries the Poor Law Board states that Laws 1, 2, 3 and 5 appear to be unobjectionable. The fourth law is partly superseded by the General Consolidated Order. As a majority of guardians present is sufficient to rescind or alter a resolution the residue is not legal. Regarding the seventh law the board wishes to know whether paupers not living in their respective parishes include the paupers resident within the union as well as those resident out of the Union. Paper Number: 10809/1848. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
