Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, acknowledging a letter dated 11 April 1848, states that if Mr Allen [John Allen] has not sent in the required statement, he is not qualified to vote as owner so the nomination is not valid. Being qualified to vote as a ratepayer of Upper Arley [Staffordshire] is immaterial, as he did not choose to nominate a guardian in that character. Paper Number: 10467/1848. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
