- Folio 273. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, referring to a report made by Mr Graves [John Thomas Graves], Poor Law Board Inspector, after his visit to the Kidderminster Poor Law Union Workhouse on [16 October 1847]. He observed that the 'Syphilis, Itch and Idiot Wards' were partly underground and not fit for their present purpose. Referring to the recent report of the Commissioners of Lunacy about the 'Idiot Ward', the Board draws attention of the guardians to the matter with a view to remedying the situation immediately. Paper Number: 10248/1848. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
