- Folios 263-264. Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, forwarding a copy of a resolution concerning medical officers' salaries passed at a meeting of the Guardians the previous Tuesday. The resolution states that the guardians discussed the medical officers' application for an increase in salary. A decision was made to postpone the matter for 3 months on the basis of the Chief Commissioner's statement in Parliament about bringing the subject before the House. Annotation: the guardians has either misunderstood or been misinformed. The Chief Commissioner does not intend to bring the subject before the House. He does not hold any view that would prevent the guardians making a decision. Paper Number: 9660/1848. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
