- Folios 257-261. Letter from Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to Mr Lumley [William Golden Lumley, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Board] enclosing 4 nomination papers, marked A,B,C and D, for the election of guardians; he enquires about the validity of the nominations. Information in the papers includes the parish or hamlet, and the residence and quality or calling [occupation] of the nominated persons. Also given are the nominators' addresses and qualification to vote. The nominated persons are: Richard Wilkes, Richard Heath, W H Baldwin, John Boraston and Joseph Wright. The nominators are: John Allen, George Corbett, Joseph Wright and John Boraston. Annotation: various omissions and inaccuracies do not invalidate any of the nominations. Mr Allen is not disenfranchised if he has sent in a statement of ownership. Paper Number: 9138/1848. Poor Law Union Number 530. Counties: Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
