1 collective petition (33 residents of Great Guildford Street, Southwark) on behalf of Mary Ann Clark, shop keeper, convicted at Surrey Quarter Sessions, St Mary Newington on 20 July 1829 for receiving stolen goods. Grounds for clemency: the prisoner is a widow without means of support other than a small broker's shop, Clark traded unknowingly in stolen goods. Gaoler's Report: character bad, in prison before. Initial sentence: 7 years' transportation. Annotated: nil. FO49
