Description

Folios 356-357. Letter from Ann Wardell, Overseer for Egmanton, to the Local Government Board concerning the sale of materials from parish houses which had fallen down. She reports that she was instructed to sell the materials by the Auditor.

She states that the vestry do not wish to sell the land as the quantity is so small, open to the High Road and it would be uneconomical to sell. The accompanying form, 'Terrier of Lands and Tenements belonging to the parish of Egmanton in the Southwell Union', shows that there is no tenant, no Title Deeds, and no encumbrance on the estate. It is open to the High Road and supposed to be Waste Ground.
