Folio 353. Letter to the Local Government Board from John Kirkland, Clerk to the Guardians of the Southwell Union. He reports tha the Guardians have unanimously agreed to increase the salary of Martha Leek, Nurse, from £20 to £25 per annum to commence from Christmas last, due to the fact that her duties have increased considerably during the past 2 years on account of the number of infirm paupers requiring attention. The approval of the Board is sought.
