Folio 350. Letter to the Local Government Board from John Kirkland, Clerk to the Guardians of the Southwell Union concerning the School Attendance Committee. It was unanimously resolved that Mr Bllundell and Mr Adamson be respectively appointed the School Attendance Officer and School Inquiry Officer for the South and North Districts of the Union for 6 months and that they be allowed the salary, or sum, of £7 10s each for their services during that period.
It was also resolved that the sum of £5 each should be allowed to Mr Shacklock and Mr Adamson for their services as School Inquiry Officers up to 1 Jan 1878.
Further, it was resolved that the salary of the Clerk be £15 per annum for the first year. The Board's approval is required.
